When eight high school graduates began work as Â×ÀíÈý¼¶ associates the end of June, they brought with them the skills that often only come with time and experience. But thanks to a strong partnership between several area Commercial and Technical Education (CTE) schools, these young individuals got a jump-start on their future and Â×ÀíÈý¼¶ is reaping the benefits of expert tradespeople.
Â×ÀíÈý¼¶ is pleased to announce it has reached an agreement with Mitsubishi Electric Corporation’s U.S. subsidiary Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. to design and engineer the digital instrumentation and control systems (I&C) for its SMR-160 small modular reactor.Â
Â×ÀíÈý¼¶ is pleased to report that Hyundai Engineering and Construction (HDEC) concluded a week-long workshop at Â×ÀíÈý¼¶â€™s Krishna P. Singh Technology Campus in Camden, New Jersey last week to advance  the SMR-160 Balance of Plant Design.
Decommissioning activities were in full-swing this past summer at Â×ÀíÈý¼¶â€™s Indian Point, Pilgrim and Oyster Creek sites.
Â×ÀíÈý¼¶ celebrated landmarks and benchmarks this past month as it welcomed Indian Point Energy Center, the newest member to its fleet of decommissioning sites and celebrated the safe and successful completion of a key Oyster Creek milestone in world record time!
With 2021 now well underway, decommissioning activities at the Oyster Creek and Pilgrim decommissioning sites continue to progress, a testament to the strong focus on safety, precision and innovation at both locations.
The year 2020 marked many milestones for Â×ÀíÈý¼¶, in spite of a global pandemic that has challenged us all.
Â×ÀíÈý¼¶ has reached a positive agreement with Lacey Township regarding the prompt decommissioning of the former Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station.
Â×ÀíÈý¼¶â€™s fleet approach to decommissioning allows sites to share resources, multiply experience and expertise, and learn from each other’s best practices. Working together as a fleet is spelling success for the Pilgrim and Oyster Creek Decommissioning Sites.
